Welcome to

Pine Mountain Club, California

PMC, CA

Pine Mountain Club – or “PMC” as the locals call it – is located in the eastern Los Padres National Forest at about 5,500ft in elevation, nestled in a steep valley near the intersection of Kern, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties. A short road trip from Bakersfield, Santa Clarita, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and San Luis Obisbo, PMC makes for a great getaway whether stopping by for the day or an extended vacation.

The PMC Village offers a variety of shops and eateries to check out while taking in majestic mountain views, bountiful pine forests, and fresh mountain air. Our historic Lilac Stage is home to various events, and the surrounding forest provides an abundance of outdoor fun.

So stop by PMC and unplug with us. A little mountain respite or adventure is closer than you think.

What about...?

What about...?

Below are some frequently asked questions we receive from first-time visitors to PMC. Please remember to travel responsibly, and we look forward to seeing you in the Village!

  • PMC is located at 5,500 ft in mountainous terrain. Please keep in mind that the weather does change from season to season. The summers can get up to about 90+ degrees F, and in the winters, temperatures can drop below freezing with several feet of snow. We highly recommend checking the weather before coming to PMC, as it can change quickly depending on the time of year.

Please note that during the winter, road access may be restricted or roads may be closed. In snowy weather, chains and/or 4-wheel drive (or all-wheel drive) may be required.

Also, dressing appropriately can make all the difference between being comfortable and having a “bad time”, so please keep your comfort and safety in mind, and remember to travel responsibly.

  • Please note that the only carrier you will have reception with is Verizon or a carrier that uses the Verizon network. We highly recommend checking to see what network your carrier uses in advance of visiting PMC, so you may plan appropriately.

Some businesses in the PMC village do offer free wifi. Please be aware that these are open to the public.

  • PMC is surrounded by national forest, and there is an abundant variety of flora and fauna in the area. It is possible that you will stumble upon bears, mountain lions, bob cats, coyotes, and rattle snakes.

  • We do not currently have public restrooms available year round. Some businesses in the Village have restrooms that are available to patrons.

During large events, such as the PMCCPOA’s annual festivals, porta-potties are available.

  • Please help us keep our community a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy by practicing leave no trace principles. It is possible that there may not always be an appropriate trash bin available. If that is the case, please pack your trash and take it with you to throw away elsewhere.
